Themes for weddings 2012 - A new year brings new ideas and new themes for weddings. For 2012, a spin on old styles will become very popular.

This isn’t a new concept, but the idea of bringing back vintage styles is becoming part of the standard. From color palettes to classic cake tops, many wedding planners are giving the guests a tour of the past.

A couple of new trends will be the customizing components of the wedding and new keepsakes. Putting your name and date of the wedding on something will leave a lasting memory for the guests.

The new year will bring wedding planners up to full throttle, especially for summer weddings. A lot of styles and trends will continue to adapt old trends and put a new spin on them. Watch as couples seek ways to inject their own personalities into the event. As we move into the year, seeing creative ideas complementing old styles will be exciting.

The start of a new year always means hot new wedding trends! And in 2012, I just know we are going to see some amazing, unique and totally inspiring themes, color schemes, accessories and decor ideas. Classic Bride and Groom cake toppers — which were sort of pushed to the wayside recently by the popularity of floral cake tops — will be making a massive comeback this year, all thanks to new customization options that will make your fav cake topper look almost just like you!

Mercury glass

Mercury glass - Love, love, love the shiny, metallic look of mercury glass! It’s so versatile and it really doesn’t take much to jazz them up as chic centerpeices or table decor.

Jewels, crystals and lots of bling

Jewels, crystals and lots of bling - Weather it’s in your hair, on your bouquet, adorned to your centerpieces or lining your tables, jewels, crystals and really anything sparkly are a must for 2012!
